The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can close on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home with a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every nsfas application annum.
